Received leaders of the welfare association of the Chinese in the U.S.A.: K. G. Lee 李覺之【1】 of New York, 王吉修 C. H. Huang of Hawaii, and C. Y. Liang 梁錦瑞 of Chicago came to talk about building a home for the aged in Taiwan. They explained that with the social security payments, the aged could spend a comfortable old age in Taipei. They said the government had promised to furnish the land and to pay half of the construction costs. They estimated it would cost 1,200,000 Taiwan dollars, to accommodate 100 to 200. Told them the estimate too low. Promised to cable the government on their request.

Gave a TV interview to ABC, Channel 7. Came off at 6 p.m.
