Went to the Old Man’s, to practice. Towards the end, found my left arm would not perform, so that I shanked the ball all the time. One of the owners came to help me, to no avail. Whether the failure was due to fatigue or permanent incapacity, I don’t know, but in the first part of the practice, I had no difficulty with my woods, both in distance and in control. My guess is: it is fatigue.
Phoned to George 【葉公超]. He said Owen Lattimore left for Mongolia 16 days ago. He saw Bundy【1】 about Mongolia, who told him that the U.S.A. should abide by her promise to abstain.
