Went to Nutley, N.J. to attend the funeral of P. C. Chang 【張彭春], who died last Friday of heart failure. Gardner Tewksbury【1】 officiated. Of the Chinese present, most were Nankai alumni. From T.’s remarks, I gathered that P. C. was interested in art, music, and philosophy in his later years. I knew he had been interested in music, of course, in Chinese Opera.
