Ceylon Ambassador to Washington came to lobby about admission to the U.N. Told him Asian neutralism was not even neutral as regards Nationalists and Communists in China. He said that with India, Pakistan, and Burma had recognized the Reds, Ceylon had not. In all subsidiary organizations, Ceylon always favored the Nationalists. The present trade agreement with the Reds was a matter of necessity; will be over in a year and will not be renewed.
