Hot. Breakfast at 10:45. Took Chang-huan 【沈昌煥] for a ride along the Palesades. Stopped at a golf range where he for the first time tried to hit a golf ball. He was surprised he could miss the ball right in front of him.
His brother and distant uncle came to lunch. They had a good chat while I listened to radio and napped.
At 7 p.m., P. H. Chang 【張平群] and wife, Welly Liu 【劉馭萬] and wife, and N. C. Nyi 【倪源卿] came to dinner. Liu Chieh 【劉鍇] happened to be in town and joined us. Much talk and a little bridge.
