Knowland approached George Yeh 【葉公超] with this question: could Formosa send to Korea more troops than all the other U.N. members combined, excluding the U.S.A.? In fact, the number required is not large, about 50,000. Knowland does not know how Ike stands on this question but he wishes to advocate his particular line, the use of our troops.
