Beautiful warm day. Before breakfast, Hilda 【沈恩欽] hurried us to get ready for planting. As soon as the breakfast was ready, we got to work. We first transplanted a forsythia from front to back. Then we planted the three hibiscuses. The rhododendron we planted yesterday looked good. The purple plum still had half of its leaves drooping. We wondered why that plant specially objected to have its circulation even temporarily stopped.
Watched the Yankees-Dodgers game. Yankees lost by 6 to 5.
Moscow Congress begins. The Peiping peace conference【1】 also begins.
