X Corps sector, the 23rd Regiment（团） under Colonel Paul Freeman continues to withstand attacks by North Koreans at Hill 247 and again, the Regiment（团） holds steadfastly and inflicts high casualties upon the enemy.
The Regiment（团） receives reinforcements when additional elements of the French Battalion（营） arrive.
More support arrives when the skies clear at about noon, permitting planes to help liquidate more of the attackers attached to the North Korean V Corps.

The operation is completed by 17 January.
