晨六点起。上午八点半至院。十点开行政工作会议。孟和报告此行在南京、上海接洽结果，如院务会议之应延期，南京办事处之希望直接来往公文等。余亦报告地理所筹备经过。次讨论商务印书馆、龙门书局领导问题及中国科学社《科学》补助问题等。十二点散会。午后睡一小时。二点到院。作函数通。五点至西单。

又至新华书店，以二万八千八百元购《列宁文选》二本。晚昕俄文。
