晨六点起。八点至院。阅俄文一小时。读近来燃料工业部所召集之石油会议，其中有玉门老君庙石油矿报告。知老君庙石油矿出油迄今1941- 49共六十一万吨原油，现在每年九万吨至十万吨，即每天三百吨，而炼油量亦相同，陕西延长石油矿则远不及，1949年可产四万四千桶而已。

中午回。二点偕孟和、黄宗甄赴中南海怀仁堂，听陈伯达讲毛泽东思想，注重政府对于民族资产阶级不但予以宽容，且要与合作。三点半回院。五点半至财经会晤张心一，知渠现主持计划局之农林水利处处长，据云同事干部多性急，只顾目前。余告以科学院地理、气象、植物、昆虫各所有若干问题，要与计划局联系，张心一要余去讲农业气象。
