晨天气骤冷。近宁宁己得赵太太购来之大衣，而彬彬尚无大衣，余以民二十六年在杭所制旧大衣与之。此衣甚短，因彬彬高出余六寸，故长短殊不相合。欲新制一袭大衣，此时无能力为之，非数百金莫办。现报载公教人员薪水比十月增五倍，267余约可得八百元之数，而物价则比十月底已十倍至卅倍不等。

晨七点熊十力乘校车赴城站往上海。八点半束星北来，为其亲戚葛振华被告失职事，因张金水窃名购布案也。晓沧来谈，并交来曾明洲来函一通，谓家中母亲己去，苦不能来，欲请长假云。其实曾明洲于九月间离校，本学期一事未做，白领三个月薪水，系中亦不理会。人事处发觉后始将其停薪。因来告长假也，过去均由魏春孚代领云。

午后三点正之来辞行，乘西湖号车回沪，聘书已发。今日寄元任夫妇一函，告以所购雨衣已由正之带到，并嘱寄交纽约Empire Building 之中和公司洋二百元美金，为浙大病虫害（系）购仪器之用，此款系下学镇、赵如兰二人退回旅费八百元之最后一批（详单见收支一览表中）。晚阅李絜非著《浙史纪要》。
