蒋廷黻日记>19481102
A cloudy, misty, rainy day. Delegation meeting at 9:30. Went to First Committee to talk with Spaak about work of the committee.
Long nap after lunch.
Studied record of sub-committee 12, to propose a speech on disarmament.
Evening, attended Austin dinner in Hotel Crillon. Hilda 【沈恩欽] sat between two generals, Marshall and McNaughton. The former talked Chinese. I sat next to Mrs. Evatt and found we were members of the same kangaroo club. The man on my left, Count Saint-Quentin,【1】 told me that we could see impressionists in the Orangerie, next to the Rivoli.
