王季午来谈医学院事约一小时余。医学院因教员难请，故不但薪水高，而名义亦特别高。普通在大学做讲师者一人医学院便为副教授、教授，如农化系廿七年之徐达道，其同班均尚为讲师，而徐到医学院为副教授，即其例。学生康乐股陈明达来谈，为游泳池减免收费事。

午后睡一小时。阅各院交来聘任教员名单。现惟国文系郑石君及教育学系郑晓沧因均在辞职，故尚无名单，其余己交来。困难问题为外文系学生、同事不满意于佘坤珊，但余欲去张君川与陈建耕，结果以陈建耕调文学院而以余体假留校支双薪，而以戚叔含代理。此外则理学院各系人数均年年增加，物理、数学等系均多至廿四五人，而学生人数（人数）年年减少，房屋成问题，薪水所得不足以温饱，此真所（谓）背道而驰也。
