Cloudy in the morning. Rose at 9:30. Had breakfast at 11. At 12, took Sze Pao 【蔣居仁] and H. 【沈恩欽] to see The Berlin Express and a movie about mules. Latter very amusing, and very flattering to U.S. country life. There was also a film about Joe Lewis【1】 and Walcott【2】 fight for heavyweight championship; one about the Republican convention. All three of us enjoyed the show.
Saw N. Z. 【唐玉瑞] at 4:30, by appointment. She inquired about the children and wished me to persuade them to visit her. Then she wanted more money. Told her I didn’t have much. She accused the divorce was not valid; I said it was valid. She wanted to know why so many people knew about my divorce. Told her I had no reason to keep it a secret.
