晨七点起。九点早餐。至Boylston Hall o 阅熊知臼编《东北县治纪要》。十点半看牙医（5Boylston St。） Dr.macDonald0渠在此Building 业牙医已廿八年，每日自九点至下午六点，日以为常，第）次大战回后即业此云。又谓Harvard Sq。有卅位牙医生，余坐椅上对门即可见三个牙医之招牌。今日为补右下六岁molar，即第一臼牙也，此牙尚活，故觉灵敏。上次所补左上五则神经已取出矣。

二点半至Geographical Institute 地理所昕Brooks 讲。四点半至Emerson Hall楼下昕Wm.Emest Hocking （Prof.of Natural Relig10n ， moral Philosophy & Politics）讲Philosophy of Law 法律的哲学，系Wm.James 纪念讲演，今日为第五讲，题为Right of Prope即& Liberty 财产和自由的权利，昕者近百人，氏以为Right to do onestask可分为二种：（1） Right of Liberty ， （2） Right of Property0人生有欲望生存unalienable right to live & continue to live.Liberty is the ultimate condit10n to do that。Freedomof personality ， of act10n ， express10n ， associat10n ， these are the fundamentalideas of living.Liberty depends upon the sincerity of your carrying on ， also dependsupon the interrelat10n with other men.Property law is impo口ant， essentially a principleof separat10n.Nature like light and air are common ， property is private.Without property， without hospitality.The not10n of property is the sense of freedom， free to useproperty。晚六点半偕Ralph Burhoe 夫妇及宝堕至Hudson20号奇香居Kay Hon Gog 中国饭店晚膳。九点回。与宝堕谈。十点吴纪先来，据（云）税务学校1934毕业，在税关作事六年半，于民卅三至Wisconsin，本冬可得博士云。
