T. V. 【宋子文] called an informal meeting to consider my proposal to establish a cabinet committee of coordination of R. & R. Present—Chiang Monlin 【蔣夢麟], O. K. Yui 【俞鴻鈞], Hsu Kan 【徐堪], Hsu Tao-lin 【徐道鄰], Hsieh Tu-pi 【薛篤弼], Kung Pei-hsun 【龔學遂(伯循)], Tan Pei-yu 【譚伯羽],【1】 and myself. O. K. thought it would be enough to let CNRRA 【行政院善後救濟總署] keep other ministries in touch, all the rest in favor. T. V. considered it passed, to be formally accepted tomorrow morning at the cabinet. At 5, Hsu Kan and his assistants, Kizer et al., C. M. 【李卓敏] and I met to consider food requirements before July 1946.
Evening, Victor 【沈惟泰] and Hilda 【沈恩欽] Shen, and Dorothy 【謝蘭郁] came for supper and bridge.
