After lunch, a long nap; high tea; chatting with C. M. 【李卓敏] about politics. After supper, went to the Paradise Theater to see a movie—The Jungle Women, a senseless melodrama.
Could not sleep. Reread Julius Caesar, and first part of Zola’s Nana. Unfortunately, the edition I brought is a very poor one, printed in India and full of mistakes. Actually, fell asleep at 4 a.m.
