Submarine UNBEATEN (Lt D E O Watson DSC) was sunk in error by British aircraft in the Bay of Biscay. Lt Watson, Lt P Cannon, Sub Lt J J Brougham, Sub Lt T C Tweedy and thirty two ratings were lost.
