German steamer KELLERWALD (5032grt/总吨位) was sunk on a mine in German waters.

Greek destroyer AETOS, escorting an unnumbered convoy that departed Trincomalee for Colombo on the 11th, attacked a submarine contact in 6-52N, 78-57E. The convoy arrived at Colombo that morning.

American light cruisers MEMPHIS and destroyers ELLIS, GREER and WINSLOW escorted convoy AS.1 of two army transports from Charleston, SC. ELLIS and GREER detached on the 15th while light cruiser CINCINNATI and destroyers JOUETT and SOMERS joined. The convoy arrived at Ascension on the 31st to build an airfield.
