Anti-submarine trawler NOTTS COUNTY (541grt, Temporary Lt R. H. Hampton RNR) was sunk south of Iceland on a mine. Lt Hampton, Temporary S/Lt F P S. Davies RNVR, Temporary S/Lt R R Humble-Smith RNVR, Temporary S/Lt A C Joy RNVR and thirty seven ratings were missing.
