阅毕Massingham（edit.）The Great Victorians Vol.I [马辛厄姆（编）：《伟大的维多利亚女王时代人》第1卷]（pp.1—276）。前天接到皮特里的回信，他说：

I have carefully read your paper.Your last 4 pages are excellent sense. I hope that if you are coming to Jerusalem on your way home，I shall meet you for a talk.[我细读了你的论文。其中最后4页主意极好。希望你回国途中能来耶路撒冷面晤叙谈。]

他所说的“excellent sense[主意极好]”，是指我提议串珠分类，须先依材料归类，仿其Predynastic Pottery Corpus[《前王朝时期陶器集成》]之先例。今日写封复信给他，又寄去第3章（pp.124—160），同时向他索回第2章，附去回件邮资，希望此次能够索得过来。
