Entertained members of the delegation of Malagasy Republic and Congo (Leopoldville). A Malagase spoke Cantonese. I asked Cardoso【1】 of Congo if it was true that President Kasavubu had a Chinese grandfather or grandmother. He said it was uncertain, but the story was generally told.
