Rain. All day in the office.
Long talks with Welly Liu 【劉馭萬]. He told me that Kiang Chiping 【江季平] had gone to S. S. Liu 【劉師舜], trying to persuade Liu to leave, in my name. I never asked Kiang to do anything of the kind. Told Welly I didn’t care about personnel changes in the delegation.
Read a summary of Red Historians’ discussion on the formation of China. One fellow said China was founded by Ching Shih Huang Ti 【秦始皇帝]. Two said it was in the latter part of Ming dynasty, since a national market was the basis for a national state, as Stalin said. Now, that is silly.
