Mild day. Morning, office. Staff conference on the Geneva agreements. Chiping 【江季平], Ho 【何世禮], and C. M. (Chang) 【張純明] reported: very confusing.
Lunch with Jack Ross and Barco,【1】 with Chiping present, at La Maisonette. Jack believes it is better to adopt a postponement formula, because of the larger votes it could get and because of its influence on subsidiary organs. I did not insist. He believes that the Credentials Committee will not give much trouble.
Went to practice golf: very poor showing.
