下午科普常委会开会。
晨六点半起。八点至院。上午郑作新来谈动物标本整理委员会。余告以限于人力财力，明年度不能希望有很多之预算，只能维持现状。目前郑作新出三分之一时间，外有李世忠一人及新聘雨农之子为技正。关于科学名词工作，已有天文与化学命名两种付印，预期明年有11种可以出版。现惟工学名词以技术局要参加，遂致停顿，因技术局从未开始。
九点开计划局局务会议，谈1951年计划，计划局、联络局与办公厅如何合力办公问题，尉盛勋去东北后事务由张君代。午后二点半至干面胡同卅一号开科普常会，通过1951年预算，自二百万斤小米减至一百万斤以下。讨论组织科联、科普宣传委员会及各地分会筹备委员人选。五点， 余先离席。晚读俄文。
